So beautiful. So horrifying.
Can’t look away.
About: Narrated by David Attenborough, this eleven part documentary showcases and celebrates all that the natural world has to offer.
The documentary took five year to film and make, and at the time, was the most expensive nature documentary series ever made by the BBC. Also it is filmed in HD and looks amazing!
Why: I watched this documentary when it first came out in 2006 and am really looking forward to watching Planet Earth 2 and Our Planet. However I thought I would give the first series a re-watch, because it was just so amazing when it came out.
Best Bits: My favourite episode so far is Episode Nine: The Shallow Sea. It was really interested learning about Humpback Whales and why they migrate north, I feel bad for not knowing this considering I love along the Humpback Highway 😅
Thoughts so far: Still loving the show just as much as I did when it first came out. I cannot wait to watch the second season but am glad I am giving the first a re-watch – it’s just so epic!

I love Planet Earth, and the second one is just as amazing. The ocean and savannah bits are the best.

I can’t wait to watch them. My only problem is I watch them at night and sometimes fall asleep 😅
