Anticipated Arrival Rundown

Anticipated Arrived Rundown

It’s been around four months since I introduced my post feature, Anticipated Arrivals. In that time I’ve been excited by the release of a number of things, from new music, to new movies, to my own discovery of an already released book. I designed this post to either be a precursor to a future post or chance for me to let all my enthusiasm out in a healthy way.

Since I have had an opportunity to experience the ‘new to me’ content, I thought I’d touch base and let you know how all that I was anticipating has played out.

Dirty Computer by Janelle Monae.

Post: Anticipated Arrival: Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer.

I love this album ❤ From start to beginning, there is no end to the genius and great tunes. ‘Crazy, Classic, Life’ is a favorite of mine, with the emotional speech intro getting me every time. Of her albums, Dirty Computer feels the most personal and is an incredible experience.

Prince & Knight by Daniel Haack and Stevie Lewis.

Review: Prince & Knight by Daniel Haack and Stevie Lewis.

The cuteness level of this book is through the roof. The art is beautiful and the story is so sweet. I cannot tell you enough how necessary it is to have books like Prince & Knight. Be warned I loved this book so much I wrote a post all about it – so keep your eyes peeled for it!

Post: Anticipated Arrival: Deadpool 2.

I loved this movie, once again there was such a strong emotional core to the film! I will admit that just like the first Deadpool, I shed a tear a time or two in this sequel. The fourth wall breaks, soundtrack, cameos, and throwaway jokes all combine to make this a hilarious film!

Domino was a stand out character for me, her scenes and moments by herself were amazing. I really enjoyed the camaraderie between her and Deadpool, they played off of each other in such a fantastic and funny way. I need to find out more about her character!

Post: Anticipated Arrival: The Sims 4 – Seasons.

Seasons was the best part about The Sims 3 and the newest expansion pack doesn’t disappoint! The added weather and seasons of the expansion pack, for me, are a real game changer. The game has added a number of features such as public holidays, a more nuanced gardening mechanism, a gardener career, and a number of new clothes and furniture items.

I felt so nostalgic playing the game that I even managed to track down a player made recreation of the Sims 3, Moonlight falls, house ‘Affordable Elegance.’ Oh the memories!

The Seasons expansion pack is what I have been waiting for and it does not disappoint. It is amazing and makes the game so much more detailed. I am loving the Sims 4: Seasons!

Keep an eye out for more of these posts as I gradually experience what I have been so enthusiastic about. I can only hope that I enjoy every last one of them 🙂
